La Gola ornithological observatory

Festival of Sant Pere

Sant Pere, protector of sailors and patron saint of Puerto Pollensa is celebrated at the end of June with traditional dances, marine exhibitions and concerts. It is a two-day event in which various processions take place by sea and land.

La Verge del Carmen

The week before the 16th of July the patron saint of Puerto Pollensa, the Virgen del Carmen, is celebrated. The boats are consecrated and decorated with flowers, while on land there is a programme of activities including concerts, dances and fireworks.

Fiestas de La Patrona

The Fiestas de La Patrona in Pollensa are held at the beginning of August. In honour of its patron saint, the Mare de Déu dels Àngels, a Moors and Christians' drill is held. This celebration commemorates the battle that the people of Pollensa fought against the troops of "Dragut", better known as Barbarossa, which took place on 31st May 1550.
